Distribution

Does DoorBux serve all of Canada?

Yes. DoorBux delivers printed products throughout Canada.

For advertising distribution, you can search for available cities and FSA codes directly through the targeting tool. Available areas, the estimated number of delivery points, and prices are displayed while you create your campaign.

If the area you are looking for does not appear or your campaign covers multiple provinces, you can contact DoorBux to receive a customized solution.

Does DoorBux offer a completely turnkey service?

Yes. DoorBux can handle the entire process, from printing to distribution in the selected mailboxes.

For a direct mail campaign, you choose your product, areas, types of delivery points to target, and desired date. DoorBux then coordinates the technical validation of your file, printing, postal preparation, drop-off, and distribution with Canada Post.

If your artwork is not ready or your project requires a special configuration, you can contact the team to learn about the available support services.

How does DoorBux distribution work?

DoorBux’s distribution service allows you to have your advertising printed and distributed directly to mailboxes in targeted areas.

The process works as follows:

  1. Choose the product you want to distribute.
  2. Select the paper, finish, and single-sided or double-sided printing.
  3. Choose the size.
  4. Search for a city or FSA code.
  5. Select the houses, apartments, condominiums, or businesses you want to target.
  6. Choose the number of delivery points in each category.
  7. Add notes or preferences if necessary.
  8. View the estimated total cost of printing and distribution.
  9. Choose an available date.
  10. Review the summary and complete the order through your account.

DoorBux then coordinates file validation, printing, postal preparation, drop-off, and distribution with Canada Post or the applicable partner.

Which products can be distributed?

The online distribution process currently allows you to choose from:

  • postcards (advertising cards);
  • flyers;
  • perforated cards.

These products are well suited for direct mail because they allow you to present a promotion, offer, event, coupon, QR code, or call to action directly in the recipient’s mailbox.

The product must comply with Canada Post’s dimensions, weight limits, and technical requirements. If you want to distribute another product or use a specific size, contact DoorBux to confirm its eligibility.

How do I choose the areas where my advertising will be distributed?

Use the search tool to enter a city or FSA code. DoorBux will display the available areas and the estimated number of delivery points in each one.

For each area, you can separately view:

  • the number of houses;
  • the number of apartments and condominiums;
  • the number of businesses;
  • the total number of delivery points;
  • the estimated direct mail price.

You can select an entire area or only some of the available delivery points. Multiple areas and cities can be added to the same campaign.

A “View Area” link also allows you to locate the FSA code on Google Maps. This map serves as a general geographical reference and does not necessarily represent the exact postal routes.

Can I target only houses, apartments, or businesses?

Yes. DoorBux allows you to separately select three types of delivery points:

  • houses;
  • apartments and condominiums;
  • businesses.

You can target only one category or combine several categories within the same area. For example, you could select only houses within an FSA code or target apartments and businesses without including houses.

The number of available delivery points for each category is displayed directly in the tool. This allows you to tailor the campaign to the audience you actually want to reach and better control your budget.

The categories and quantities remain based on the postal data available at the time of the order.

Can I select only part of an area?

Yes. You are not required to select all the available delivery points within an FSA code.

You can specify the number of houses, apartments, condominiums, or businesses you want to reach. For example, if an area contains 7,000 houses, you could choose to distribute only 2,000 copies.

When only part of a category is selected, the delivery points are generally chosen randomly within the area. You can add a preference in the “Important Notes” section, but it will only be applied when feasible.

If you absolutely need to cover specific streets or a very precise area, contact DoorBux before placing your order.

Can I target specific streets or addresses?

The standard process allows you to target FSA codes and types of delivery points. It does not automatically guarantee specific streets or addresses.

You can add instructions to your selection, such as:

  • prioritize the western part of the area;
  • prioritize streets near your business;
  • focus on a specific neighbourhood;
  • avoid an area when possible.

The team will attempt to direct the distribution according to these preferences when they are compatible with postal routes, but their application cannot be guaranteed.

For distribution to specific addresses or based on your own mailing list, contact DoorBux to confirm feasibility, pricing, and applicable requirements.

How much does flyer distribution cost?

With DoorBux, printing and mail distribution are included in one price. A 4 x 6 double-sided postcard neighbourhood campaign costs $550 for 2,500 doors, about $0.22 per door. A tear-off coupon campaign costs $2,350 for 10,000 doors, about $0.24 per door. The exact price depends on format, paper and number of doors. Choose your areas on our map to see the price of your mailing. Taxes extra.

How is the price of a campaign calculated?

The total price depends on printing and direct mail distribution.

The printing portion varies depending on factors such as:

  • the product;
  • the paper and finish;
  • the size;
  • single-sided or double-sided printing;
  • the total quantity.

The distribution portion varies depending on factors such as:

  • the number of delivery points;
  • the selected areas;
  • the targeted categories;
  • applicable postal rates;
  • the preparation required for the postal drop-off.

The estimated cost of each area is displayed when it is selected. DoorBux then calculates the combined printing and distribution total before you choose the date and complete the order.

Applicable taxes are added to the final summary. Prices may change based on Canada Post rates, materials, and campaign specifications.

Who handles the distribution?

Standard direct mail campaigns are distributed by Canada Post according to its routes, standards, and delivery procedures.

DoorBux coordinates the various steps required before distribution, including:

  • technical validation of the project;
  • printing;
  • product preparation;
  • logistical coordination;
  • drop-off with Canada Post;
  • general campaign tracking.

Once the products have been dropped off, mailbox delivery is carried out according to Canada Post’s operations. DoorBux therefore does not control the exact order of the routes or the specific day on which each address will be served.

How long does distribution take?

The order must be submitted at least 12 business days before the scheduled drop-off date with Canada Post.

This period allows time to:

  • review the file;
  • produce the copies;
  • prepare the order according to postal requirements;
  • transport the products to the drop-off location;
  • coordinate the campaign.

After the drop-off with Canada Post, distribution generally takes 3 to 5 business days.

The timeframe may vary depending on the areas, campaign volume, time of year, weather conditions, and Canada Post operations. Different areas within the same campaign may also be distributed on different days.

Can I choose a specific date?

You can choose an available date in the DoorBux calendar. This date corresponds to the scheduled date on which the direct mail products will be dropped off with Canada Post, not necessarily the exact day each person will receive the advertising.

After the drop-off, Canada Post generally completes distribution over a period of 3 to 5 business days. It is therefore impossible to guarantee that every mailbox will be served on the same day.

If your advertising concerns an opening, promotion, or event, allow for a safety margin. You should also avoid promoting an offer that begins too soon after the scheduled drop-off date.

How do I know whether my advertising has been distributed?

You can track the main stages of your campaign through your customer account.

The order status may indicate that the project is:

  • under review;
  • in production;
  • being prepared;
  • dropped off with Canada Post;
  • being distributed;
  • completed.

DoorBux may also send email updates when the campaign reaches an important stage.

The drop-off status confirms that the products have been handed over to the postal provider. Final distribution then takes place according to Canada Post’s routes and timelines. Because this is unaddressed direct mail, individual tracking is not produced for each mailbox.

What happens if distribution is delayed?

DoorBux will verify the drop-off status and the information available from Canada Post or the partner responsible for distribution.

A delay may be caused by:

  • weather conditions;
  • unusually high postal volumes;
  • route changes;
  • an operational issue;
  • a labour dispute;
  • a statutory holiday;
  • a situation beyond DoorBux’s control.

DoorBux will provide the available information and take reasonable steps to coordinate the next steps. However, once the products have been dropped off, DoorBux does not control Canada Post’s daily operations or the exact delivery date for each mailbox.

Does DoorBux guarantee the results of my campaign?

No. DoorBux cannot guarantee a specific number of sales, calls, visits, leads, or conversions.

Campaign results depend on several factors, including:

  • the quality of the offer;
  • the design;
  • the clarity of the message;
  • the targeting;
  • the distribution period;
  • the company’s brand awareness;
  • the competition;
  • the frequency of the campaign;
  • how easy it is to respond to the offer.

To measure your results, use a QR code, a dedicated webpage, a separate telephone number, or a promotional code created specifically for the campaign.

DoorBux is responsible for providing the ordered products and services according to the applicable specifications, but commercial performance remains dependent on the strategy and the market’s response.

I want to place multiple orders, plan several distributions, or complete a special project. What should I do?

If you want to place multiple printing orders, plan several distributions, organize a recurring campaign, or complete a project that exceeds the options available online, contact the DoorBux team directly.

DoorBux can assist you with:

  • multiple printing orders;
  • several distributions scheduled over time;
  • a campaign covering multiple areas, cities, or provinces;
  • a quantity exceeding 100,000 printed copies or delivery points;
  • a specific product, size, or finish;
  • a recurring campaign;
  • a fully customized project.

To help the team properly evaluate your request, provide the desired products, quantities, targeted areas, preferred dates, and planned frequency. DoorBux can then recommend a suitable solution, provide a printing and distribution schedule, and prepare a customized estimate.

You can contact the DoorBux team using the “Contact Us” form on the website. The team aims to respond within 24 business hours.

Printing

What is DoorBux?

DoorBux is a Canadian platform that simplifies the printing and distribution of advertising materials for businesses, professionals, and organizations.

You can order printed products directly online, receive an instant price, and have them delivered anywhere in Canada. You can also create a direct mail campaign and have your advertising distributed to mailboxes in targeted areas.

What is the difference between printing and distribution?

The printing service allows you to order customized products such as postcards (advertising cards), flyers, business cards, posters, banners, signs, or labels. Once printed, your order is delivered to the address of your choice.

The distribution service, also known as direct mail, allows your advertising to be distributed directly to mailboxes in the areas you select.

Can I order printing only, without distribution?

Yes. You can use DoorBux solely to have your products printed.

Choose the desired product, paper or material, size, printing options, and quantity. You can then enter your postal code, compare delivery options, and view the total price before completing your order.

Your products will be professionally printed and delivered directly to the address you provide.

How does a printing order work?

A printing order can be completed entirely online:

  1. Choose your product.
  2. Select the paper, material, or finish.
  3. Choose single-sided or double-sided printing when the option is available.
  4. Select the size.
  5. Choose the quantity.
  6. View the printing price.
  7. Enter your province and postal code.
  8. Select a delivery option.
  9. Review your order summary.
  10. Sign in or create your account to complete the order.

The printing price, delivery fees, taxes, and total are displayed before payment.

What quantities can I order?

Available quantities vary depending on the product, size, paper, and selected options.

Some products can be ordered in quantities starting at 100 copies, while others require a higher minimum quantity. For many products, the configurator allows you to order up to 100,000 copies directly online.

Available quantities automatically appear during the configuration process. If your desired quantity is not displayed, DoorBux can prepare a customized quote.

Can I order a custom product, size, or quantity?

Yes. DoorBux can evaluate projects that exceed the options available in the configurator.

A custom request may be submitted for:

  • a specific size;
  • a quantity that is not displayed;
  • a print run of more than 100,000 copies;
  • a specialized material or finish;
  • a recurring campaign;
  • a project involving multiple products;
  • distribution in multiple cities or provinces;
  • a fully customized printing or packaging requirement.

Contact the team and provide the product, size, quantity, deadline, and intended use. The more precise your request is, the faster the team will be able to recommend a suitable solution.

Can I get a price directly online?

Yes. DoorBux calculates your price while you configure the product, without requiring you to wait for a quote.

The price varies depending on factors such as:

  • the product;
  • the paper or material;
  • the finish;
  • the size;
  • single-sided or double-sided printing;
  • the quantity;
  • the delivery address;
  • the selected carrier;
  • the areas selected for distribution.

The printing subtotal is displayed before the delivery stage. Once you enter your province and postal code, you can compare shipping options and view the taxes and estimated total.

A quote will be required if your product or configuration is not available online.

Files and Design

What type of file should I provide?

The recommended format is a print-ready PDF.

Your PDF must match the ordered size and contain all the elements required for production, including images, text, colours, and bleed. Fonts must be embedded in the document or converted to outlines to prevent them from being replaced.

Avoid submitting only a screenshot, a Word document, an image taken from a website, or a Canva file that has not been exported correctly. These files may have insufficient resolution, incorrect dimensions, or missing fonts.

If your product has a front and back, provide both sides in the same PDF on two separate pages and in the correct order.

How do I properly prepare my file for printing?

At the artwork upload stage, you will find instructions and documents specific to the selected product. These resources will explain how to properly prepare and upload your design before completing your order.

Does DoorBux check my file before printing?

DoorBux may perform a technical review of your file to identify certain format- or production-related issues. However, this review does not replace your own verification.

A non-compliant file may be rejected or cause an additional delay. The team will contact you if a correction is required before production.

Can DoorBux modify or create my design?

You can create your design yourself, for free, with DoorBux’s online editor: choose a template for your industry, add your logo and photos, then edit the text. You only order once you like the result.

For custom professional graphic design (full creation, adapting an existing design, large campaigns), our agency Prestige Média takes care of it: pmd2d.ca

Delivery

Can I track my delivery?

Yes. When the carrier provides a tracking number, it is sent to the customer or added to the order information.

You can also view the general status of your order in your customer account. It allows you to see whether the order is under review, in production, shipped, or completed.

The carrier’s tracking information may take a few hours to become active after the shipping label is created. Once the package has been handed over to the carrier, updates and the estimated delivery date depend on the carrier’s system.

What should I do if my order is damaged during delivery?

Photograph the package and products before discarding or altering the packaging.

Take photos of:

  • the closed box;
  • the damaged sides;
  • the shipping label;
  • the interior packaging;
  • the damaged products;
  • all the products received.

Keep the box, protective materials, and affected products. Contact DoorBux promptly and provide your order number and the number of damaged copies.

These items may be required to open a claim with the carrier and determine the appropriate solution.

Payment

What payment methods are accepted?

DoorBux orders are paid online using the options displayed at checkout.

Transactions are securely processed by Stripe or another authorized payment provider. DoorBux does not store complete payment card numbers.

Full payment is required before production begins. An order, production date, or distribution period is not definitively confirmed until payment has been received and the order has been accepted.

Are taxes and all fees included in the displayed price?

The price displayed at the beginning of the configuration process may represent only the subtotal for the selected product or service.

Before payment, the summary separately presents the applicable items, including:

  • the printing cost;
  • delivery fees;
  • direct mail fees;
  • GST;
  • QST or other applicable taxes;
  • the final order total.

Taxes are calculated based on the delivery province: in Quebec, GST (5%) and QST (9.975%) apply; in other provinces, HST applies instead. These taxes also apply to delivery fees, not just the product or service price.

For a distribution campaign, an area’s displayed price may initially represent only the direct mail cost. The total cost, including printing, is calculated during the next step.

Always review the complete summary before confirming your payment.

Account

Do I need to create an account to place an order?

Yes. You can choose a product, configure its options, and view its price without signing in. However, a DoorBux account is required to complete the order and make the payment.

Your customer account allows you to:

  • view your orders;
  • track their progress;
  • find your invoices;
  • access your project details;
  • receive important communications;
  • save your company information.

To create your account, you will need to provide your contact information, company information, address, and a password.

Where can I view my orders and invoices?

Your orders and invoices are available through your DoorBux customer account.

The “Orders” section allows you to view details associated with each project, including:

  • the ordered product;
  • the quantity;
  • the selected options;
  • the delivery address or distribution areas;
  • the price;
  • the order status;
  • available documents.

To retrieve an invoice, open the relevant paid order and download the document from the appropriate section.

Can I modify or cancel an order?

An order can only be modified or cancelled if production, logistical preparation, or postal processing has not yet begun.

Contact DoorBux immediately and provide:

  • your order number;
  • the requested modification;
  • the file concerned;
  • the reason for cancellation, if applicable.

DoorBux will verify the project’s actual status before confirming whether the change is still possible.

Fees may apply for work already completed, transaction fees, ordered materials, or production time already reserved. Once production has begun, a customized order generally cannot be modified, cancelled, or refunded.

How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?

Every DoorBux newsletter email includes an "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the message. Click that link to be removed from the mailing list immediately.

Unsubscribing only affects the newsletter: you will keep receiving emails related to your order updates (confirmation, production, shipping) as long as you have active orders.

How do I delete my account?

From your customer account, open the "Profile" section and click "Delete my account" at the bottom of the page.

You will be asked to confirm before deletion, since this action is permanent and cannot be undone: your account and profile information are permanently removed.

What should I do if my order contains an error or defect?

Inspect your products as soon as you receive them. If you notice an error or defect, contact DoorBux within 10 calendar days of receiving the order.

Your request should include:

  • the order number;
  • a clear description of the problem;
  • close-up photos of the defect;
  • photos showing several copies;
  • a photo of the entire order, when relevant;
  • the approximate number of affected products.

DoorBux will review the approved file, order specifications, and received products.

If the error is attributable to DoorBux, the solution may include a reprint, credit, correction of the service, or an appropriate refund, depending on the circumstances.
